Thanks Everyone,

I downloaded Stellarium as suggested and noted the position of Andromeda. Popped outside earlier and saw it for the first time as a hazy cloud, Amazing!

Jupiter and 4 moons really bright as well,

Hi and welcome Barry. Andromedia is not hard to find once you have your bearing down load stellarium Stellarium and use it to print out a chart to help you out..
