Hi everyone, time to check in and say 'Hello'.

I'm Robert, based in Hampshire UK.

I've always been interested in the Moon since the Apollo era but for a long time never ventured further than a large pair of binoculars. Over the years I've collected a couple of smaller refractors then about 5 years ago I aquired a Tasco 302012 reflector with a polar mount which it's taken me some time to get to grips with but having now seen Jupiter's Galilean moons and Saturn's rings I think I'm getting the hang of it.

I'll be to-ing and fro-ing with lots of daft questions in the future so please feel free to have a smile either with me - or at me - as I blunder my way around in the quest for knowledge.

Thanks in advance for your patience, Rob.

A very cold afternoon setting up before an even colder night. Frost on eveything before I gave up!

Hi,

Welcome to SGL.

Ask your questions, it's the way we all learn and you won't get anyone laughing at you on this forum, just good friendly advice.

Good luck.

Hi Robert.

Welcome to the SGL.

You must be a master of collumation if that's how you transport your scope around!
