Tried something else then planetary imaging last night.

I was watching Asteroid 2005YU55 from 7:30 PM till after midnight.

Used my Meade 14" canon 10D with focal reducer f 6.3.

There was a strong wind, clouds and the moon was close by also.

Frames were 20s. exposures at 3200 RAW, if conditions were better I would have made a better

presentation or movie.

Well, 2005YU55 was 25 minutes a head of the predicted time.

I could not locate it were it suppose to be so I start scanning the trajectory and found it 25 minutes ahead on the predicted path.

The trajectory was very accurate but timing was off, had to adjust the scopes tracking every 4 minutes, but I used ECU software which was easy to do.

It was quite an experience for such a fast moving object.

Looking forward to the next one in better conditions..... so I can make a much better presentation....
