'How to Choose a Telescope'.

The CCAG are an active and friendly group that meet regularly at the 'Space Centre' Callington Community College in Devon.

FLO will have several telescopes set-up as well as a number of accessories to view. Greg (Phattire) will also be lending a hand so if you are in the area and free that evening, why not pop along and say hi :)

Bit too far for me, but best of luck Steve.

Did you get the sequinned dress for your, er, lovely assistant?? :)

Just pictured Greg doing the 'teapot' with one hand on hip and the other pointing at a scope :)

Seriously, Greg is great at events like this and FLO is lucky to have his help both in the preparation and on the day... Perhaps I can persuade him to set up his barbe' and serve Peri Peri burgers :D

Very kind of you to say so, thankyou Steve,

As for the BBQ...I could do one..But that would mean all the members stuffing my burgers :D

And not looking at the scopes :)

As for the little teapot impression...I'll save that one for the Starparty :)

Darn.. wish I had read up on this earlier, only in the County next door. Never too far away for some good astronomy talkin. Looks like it was an informative evening.

Steve, is that the 8" or 10" Skyliner in the pic? Nice to see a sense of scale on those dobs as I've never seen one in the flesh.

They were a smashing bunch, I really enjoyed the evening. it's a pity that they're all the way down in Cornwall as would join them without hesitation....and attend regularly....
