Tonight I've been reminded why..

..I love the night sky

I've bought a pair of 10x50 bins today, nothing special and really only to take motorcycle camping with me. The sky earlier was shrouded in cloud but I've just popped outside and been rewarded with Crystal clear skies and stunning views of the three things that initially got me hooked; Jupiter, The Pleiades and Orion and in particular The Orion Nebula. Conditions are perfect now but I've had too many beers to risk carrying my scope outside (it's a CPC1100 so a bit on the heavy side) so I'm going to enjoy my new bins.

I found something similar a few days ago. Just looking around the night sky with my new Olympus 10X50s. Just lovely.

Agreed, I've just managed to see M31 with my cheap 10x50s from my back garden.

Jupiter and 4 moons was a delight to see the other day too.

Got a new found love for Kemble's Cascade, it looks great in 10x50.
