Hello World!

I'm DZ from San Diego, CA. I was never really interested in Astronomy until a few months ago when I moved into a house with a great backyard view. I got an XT8 for my birthday last month and so far have enjoyed the views of the Moon and Jupiter.

I *think* I saw m31 last week which has been on my radar the last couple of times I've hauled out the scope. Hopefully these foggy nights will go away and I can get some good seeing to finally narrow it down.

Anyways, I have a lot to learn. Please be patient with my newb questions!

Thanks

-DZ

Hello DZ and welcome from the Dordogne in France. You should see M31 with a pair of binoculars as a fuzzy elongated patch. If using a telescope a good investment is a light pollution reducing filter. Good luck!
