Clear sky predicted tonight - anybody free?

The Met Office forcast tonight is for clear skies , is anybody free to observe?

Sorry Phil. The dec motor on my scope has been returned for checking so can't make it tonight. I'm hoping it gets back soon though.

Looking at that low piling in you will be lucky to see clear skies.

It's predicting clear for us as well, but looking at Sat24, I dunno, a little too close to call for me!

Good luck getting some viewing in, I got a lovely view of Jupiter during the fleeting clear spell last night, during the Io transit

WEll, I hope you Guys are correct !!!.

The forecast last night for my local area in South Bucks high in the Chiltern Hill, was cloudless skies and slight breeze and no nasty dew.... perfect:

At 7pm when I scanned clear eastern skies Jupiter was too low but at 8:30 Cloud was appearing. and weather station predicting light rain, so shut down.

Patiently waited until at 10:30pm : sky looked good so again opened up dome with scope and cameras at the ready.

Testing focus on Jupiter when I felt a few spots of rain.

Had to shut down again quickly cos' it was quite a shower.

So here's hoping we all have some clear skies tonigh even for an hour or two.

Yep have to admit its pretty cloudy here at the moment but there's a brisk wind so things could change yet. Seems many areas are forecast to be clear after 2100hrs Let's keep our fingers and toes crossed!
