Hi All

thought i would try my first Bi-colour narrowband imaging with my new telescope, Explore Scientific Ed127, Target IC1805 central region. I combined using Ha/Oiii, Ha, Oiii and have this lovely rich yellow colour but not sure about the rest lol, but its a new learning curve for me. The problem i had was not getting enough Oiii data, only 9 x 10min, Ha 7 x 10min

but not a bad start

Also took a photo of the wonderfull Beta Cygni.

Last night i thought i try IC1795 and managed to capture 4 x 20 min Ha before the clouds rolled in, what happened to the clear night here in the north east.

Apart from Beta Cygni all images were 2x2 binning using a QSI583

Very good start, that scope certainly looks posh.....

Interesting that you binned ,hoe are you finding the sensitivity compared to 1x1? I read somewhere that the 8300 doesn't respond all that differently binned, am glad that it certainly works well for you :)

Hi Guy

I only went 2x2 in order to try get more data quicker as i knew the weather was gonna change, 1x1 however is much more sensitive and normally use this mode if the sky is clear all night, although 2x2 binning gives nice results
