Rookie Astronomer

Folks: I'm new to the forum here and will probably require a helping hand as am a new astronomer

I have long been interested in all things astronomy but taken a long time to get round to formally picking it up as a hobby. I even got the opportunity to meet Patrick Moore in 2000 and saw the August 1999 solar eclipse from a boat in the channel and still not taken it up til now.

I'm procuring a Skywatcher 200P EQ5 from RVO and hope to make up for lost time swiftly.

I'll look forward to rubbing shoulders with you all.
