Slow to Fast moving solar Events

Fred Veio has been observing the Sun for the past 30 years, using a series of spectrohelioscopes he designed and built.

He recently published an interesting note on the Slow and Fast moving events visible in Ha. The Doppler shifts and speeds are significant and it shows clearly why narrow band Ha filters must be re-tuned to get maximum performance.
