I've also had postive experiences on here but would caution anyone buying on here to read the buy & sell guidelines.

Also remember the number of users has gone through the roof so maybe clock their number of posts, length of membership and have a look at some of their previous posts before parting with your hard earned cash.

Not that I'm saying newer members can't be trusted but with so many members now it's that much easier for a scamster to slip through the door.

If I buy from a shop Il always check out Google street View to see if the shop is a real one or not (not too good if its a new shop)

On other forums I go on there's a page where you can go and "big up" a seller,a bit like the one on here that deals with shops,

There is one person who seems to do nothing but sell items on these boards with little input elsewhere who I wouldn't trust farther than I could spit ! Had a run-in with him on another forum so beware who you deal with

me too. I once sold a £165 eyepiece, let the buyer have it on the day and agreed to receive payment by cheques over a period. worked fine. on the whole most people are decent folk. don't let the odd bad apple spoil things.
