Binocular Dew Shields?

For my 16x70's I used a couple of offcuts of plastic 100mm bathroom soil waste pipe, lined them with Protostar black flocking paper and padded the binocular end with just enough black foam padding to make a snug fit.

These keep stray light away from the lenses as well as acting reasonable dew shields, but you need to make sure you make the offcuts long enough - I would recommend a minimum of 120mm for the 100mm diameter pipe.

You could substitute matt black paint for the flocking paper but it's probably not as effective.
