(Yet another) Witches Broom NGC 6960

Recommended Posts

I know this target has been done exhaustively, but I could not resist. I'd had a go at this a few months ago, but had only limited data so decided to put more time into a repeat. So this time I did 5 hours of OIII with 15 min subs Saturday night, and 5 hours of H-alpha with 10 min subs last night. I still need to add SII data to complete the image, and will hopefully do this on the next clear night. Not sure if I like the star spike I've added, looks a bit artificial so may remove it in the final version when I have the SII.

Excellent work there Martin! I love the colours and the sharpness of the filaments running throughout the nebula also great control over 52 Cygni. I think you should give yourself a pat on the back!

Clear skies,

Matt.
