According to wiki it's a cloud just off to the side of the Carina Nebula.

I reckon its a message to me from the ex.....she knows that I spend a lot of time looking through my telescope so she would see it as a good way of getting a message to me.

I know there are companies out there that attempt to sell people a star and to register it using their name as a way of demonstrating love and affection - I'm wondering how much this nebula is going to cost me though the list of possible recipients is getting longer by the day!

If you look at the image closely you see the other hand in the distance, and I think it is explaining to a close neighbour that it once caught a fish this big!
