Bright star early morning - SE direction

Hi

Did anyone see the sunrise this morning, and the bright star /planet in the SE direction. Can i ask what planet/star this was, and seemed to shine brightly long after the sun had risen in the morning sky

Something from Orion maybe? Like Betelgeuse.

Mars or Sirius are also in the SE.

Probably Mars at a guess - just wind back Stellarium to the time you saw it and there it is

I too was confused by mars, seeing how I've never seen it in the night sky, or at least since I've started stargazing anyway.
