Over the last two nights I have been collecting 5min subs of the Double Cluster. ED80PRO with reducer. Unmodded Canon 1000D. Finder guided with QHY5 and PHD. HEQ5 with EQMOD. Total time 4h 10min with flats and darks, stacked in DSS and processed in PS CS5.

I love the contrasting star colours in this shot. You must be pleased with this?

Love looking at images of big open clusters - as I cannot get them myself. I also really miss the FOV of the dSLR.

Maybe you should, for your next object, move up to M52 which it a tight open cluster and it has the bubble off to one side - which you might get with an unmodded cam.

Cheers
