Using Logitech Quickcam with CCD?

This webcam has a doughnut type focus ring on the front of the camera, i take it that i will have to remove this and use an adaptor attached to the front of the webcam which i slot into the eyepiece (or can i leave the webcam lense in?). For planetary imaging should i use the 3X Barlow with the webcam? Any tips on using this with a Meade ETx-70.

Hi Dave

Firstly you do have to remove the lens and use the adapter.

Secondly try using it without the barlow (focusing will be a little easier)

Then do it with the 3X barlow.

The best bit of advice i can give you is spend plenty of time focusing

as this is the most imprtant bit of imaging (without good focus nothing looks right)
