observatory visit

hi all,

last night went to hatfield university observatory,to look at mars.the scopes are brill,7or 8 ranging from 8inch reflector to 20 inch mead :shock:.the skies were clear but the seeing was awful.i saw the andromada galaxy on 14 inch,saw mars on 20 inch but it was wobbling around a lot.also saw some pretty good imaging stuff.took my camera but forgot my mounts :insects1:.

Nice one Jimmy, sounds like you had fun. At least it was clear mate - that doesn't always happen - in fact it hardly ever happens...

Mars through a 20" scope - I can only dream.
