What colour the Sun?

I've become dissatisfied with the somewhat crude orange Solar image colouration that I have been using. I know the Sun is really just plain "white" but this does not look too good on a monitor and leads to troubles with contrast. The orange that I have been using up to now is just a simple "warm orange" photo filter (admittedly tweaked a bit) supplied with photoshop.

So I've had a couple of hours playtime with PS and come up with a "new" and I hope more subtle colour. Anyone like to comment?? Feel free to criticise as I may well dabble with several versions before settling on one that seems "right". (The new one is the yellowish one on the left),

I know nothing about solar imaging but i prefer the one on the left as i can make out more detail.

left for me also, too dark and you start to loose the contrast.

Well, the one on the left looks like a Lemon, the one on the right looks like an Orange.

So its all Lemons and Oranges to me.

The version on the left shows more detail - the facula (white areas near the sunspots) are very obvious on this one. Nice detail.

Nice sharp images. I definitely prefer the paler version, which looks more natural.
