(Standard) Filter Transmission Curves

Although usage of filters is... subjective, I searched in vain for technical information.

Herewith a link to the transmission curves for Wratten and (some other) filters:

With no scientific basis, I sense that sometimes "stuff" can be learned by looking at

colour TV (even book) images, through filters. More than [from] TV programs?
