Hi all,

I am reading 'The Backyard Astronomers Guide' in the filter section the authors write that these four are all you need- No12 Yellow, No23a Light red, No56 Light green, No80a Blue. What are your thoughts please, do you tend to use one particular colour for most of your viewing?

Thanks for any imput.

Hi

I have this very set of filters.

I find that the colour filters do help a bit on the Planets.

For me they do seem to bring subtle details to the fore.

However I am not really a planetary observer, and someone that is will probably give you a better idea of what is best for which planet, or even if they are worth having.

Sorry I cannot be of more help.
