My 1st acceptable Saturn

As some of you may know I have had a real problem in obtaining sucessful images of Saturn and now thanks to mainly Geoff K & Malcolm S I have found out what was wrong. Mainly the Camera was at fault and thanks to David Hinds it was replaced without any quibbles, secondly my scope collimation was poor and I would now like to stress to others the importance of fine collimation. I took this image last night in poor seeing and at last ater many months saw an acceptable result. I could not get any colour to it maybe because of the seeing, but I'm happy and now waiting for a dark night. Thanks again Chaps.

Robin, that's a good sharp Saturn. Glad you sorted your problems out.

On my monitor you have colour and it seems to be spot on !

Have you calibrated your monitor ?. I did this after I read an e-book on astro imaging, and it made a difference to the subtle colour on astro shots.
