Playing with Saturn from the other night

Taking some advice i have had, i have had a go at reprocessing Saturn from the other night.

I have tried to have a go at bringing out further detail in the banding around the planet.

What do you think ??

Excellent image ! Can you add the other one so we can compare? Did you process in registax if so can you remember the wavelet settings. Might help us mere mortals

Sorry i dont record the settings,i just keep playing until i like it and then play some more in Photoshop.

I suppose i should be more organised :?

Think I prefer the second one. Seems to be more colour in the banding

yes the second is far better Kai ,more natural the other seems over processed , excellent work mate

Okay

The first one had alot more waveletts applied (namley 3,4,5) to try to bring out the banding detail which i think i acheved if you look at the "red" band at the top and also a blue band at the bottom.

The second image is the one i would naturally do as to me it looks softer and more natural.

I quess for any more detail i am going to need even better seeing and maybe a bit more focal length (maybe x2,5).Either that or start imaging in LRGB with my Atik when it comes home to me :?
