Saturn + white spot, 8th April 2007

Here's a shot of Saturn showing a white spot in the SEB. I would have followed the spot had it not been for the consumption of most of a bottle of red wine previous to the capture :shock:

Another fantastic pic Pete, stunning...although I cannot make out the whitespot but that may be down to the 8 cans of stella yesterday and a impending bout of serious man flu

I find looking at the coloured (RG)RGB image like looking through the telescope. One minute it's not there and the next it's blindingly obvious!

Righto, I'm off to get some red wine (or nick it off our lass) as that must be the magic potion. Some stunning detail going on there Pete, another magic image.

That's a stunner of an image, Pete.

But I'm thinking - have you labelled the red and green pictures wrongly? On the final image, there's a red band 2nd from the bottom and another one higher up, which matches the "green" image; and theres a greenish band at the bottom (is that the North pole? :? ) which matches the "Red" image... just an observation.

But honestly - that image is a thing of beauty.

excellent pic superb detail.

The RGB images really show how the blue light is affected more by the atmosphere than the red light.
