AZ4 Versus CG4

I’m after an AZ4 but I’ve been offered a 2nd hand CG4.

I read here http://stargazerslounge.com/imaging-discussion/153672-alt-az-mounts.html that the CG4 can be set to 90 degrees and perform as an ALT AZ. (thanks for that ‘StevieDvd’)

When used like this do you think it will be as good as the AZ4?
