hello guys iv been given the oppuntity of buying one of these i just like to know if any one else has got one

i havent come across much infomation about them but they were in a S@N equiptment page a while back as i remember seeing it but for the life of me i cant remember when) its just the mount not the telescope

KSON makes nice but not cheap optics and some very interesting mounts with modern GOTO capabilities.

I guess it is still yet to apear on UK market.

I've seen a couple for sale on e.bay Gaz but never one "in the flesh". It looks a rather unique design - maybe it just didn't take off

Interesting range of products Kson have. I've read reports that their Ortho eyepieces are not quite as good as the classic Japanese "volcano tops" but this alt-az mount looks very interesting though - similar to the Skywatcher Skytee II in some ways:

the one i saw was really really good, i have gotten frustrated with my eq3-2 it works really well some nights and not so others apparently the kson goto system u dont have to set it to parc or anything u can set it to any bright object (planet or star) and it apparently brings it with in the eyepeice fine

should i take a punt?

If your running it of the Mains PSU supplied with it keep an eye on it... it's underated especially if you load the mount up...

i ran it last night off my 12v powerpack which i think i will be using in the future!

one thing which i thought was quite funny.... its the prime example of.... once u take it out of the box you cant get it back in perfectly again
