Solar mosaic 22 August

Nice period of clear skies yesterday and was nice to see a couple of nice large proms on the limb with the activity on surface.

I think this is close to my best yet, slowly working to get better images of this wonderful star we call the sun.

Yeah I think I will be doing a Ha image on the morning then white light images during the phases and at totality followed by another Ha image after. Although I suspect I will need to do an image the previous night before totality.

I was sort of contemplating doing a Ha mosaic during totality but cannot work out how to prevent frame blur of the moon. The idea of capturing the mountains on the lunar limb on the Ha sun is very appealing. I will be thinking more on this before the event next year.

I just wonder how to get that totally awesome image. Maybe a Ha full disk combined with the coronal image would be great too. Some fancy processing would be needed though.
