low solar activity

Just made the last observation of March.

With 27 observation days far above the average of 18.5 obs in the last 26 years.

A sunny month march for Belgium.

Remarkable is also that I noted the lowest monthly average (7.8) and that since October 1996!!

We are in the middle of the solar minimum!

And yes, I've seen predictions of a higher than normal cycle this time. I can't wait.

I remeber reading in the astro press that one method of prediction is saying the maximum will be 'normal' the other is saying that the maximum is going to be 'BIG...'

Should be interesting to see how it pans out.

At the Eweel AS meeting yesterday one of the members who does a fair bit of Solar observing said he hadn't seen a Sun spot since March 3rd

I look earlier today and there is still nothing too see....
