A very warm welcome to SGL. From my suburban London location I envy you your dark skies. Consider some 7-10x50 binoculars too.

Hi guys I'm back! Bigger and stronger :o) change of job etc put me back a bit, but here I am. I've been looking at the Skywatcher skyliner 200p, thoughts? Really want to try the photography too, can I fit my Nikon D5000 to it? Thanks guys

Hi Ben welcome to the lounge,

Do a little research, there are so many telescopes to choose from,

research the A.P. side of things, a Dob is not really suited for imaging

unless it has a motorized mount, something on an E.Q mount would be better,

or a Go-to mount.

so as I said research as much as you can before committing to buy.
