Songs for Astronomy (nearly!)

Recommended Posts

I'm sure we've all seen lists of astronomy related songs - things like:

Sleeping Satellites - Tasmin Archer

or

It's Raining Again - Supertramp

But how about a couple of "alternative titles"?

Dew You really Want To Hurt Me - Culture Club

EP Talk - Captain Sensible

I'm sure they're are more - over to you!

I think that very interesting and corresponding with "alternative" or "new wave" is "Obcy astronom" by Republika. Translating title from Polish to English is "Extraneous Astronomer"; poetry is sometimes difficult to translate. Besides, I think that one corresponds with astronomy.

Given the brightness of the moon last night, perhaps Manfred Mann's Earth Band's (or Bruce Springsteen's if you prefer) "Blinded by the Light".
