Helios Stellar Japanese binoculars

I am looking for something better in quality than the Celestron SkyMaster and the Helios Stellar binoculars seem interesting:

Has anyone tried these (preferably the 20x60 or 15x70)? How good is their construction and how do they perform optically?

I owned the 15x70 Stellar up until very recently. To answer your questions, they are superior in every way to the Celestron Skymaster. Superior build, superior optics and nicer to hand hold. And also come in a nice hard case, rather than a fabric soft case.

Since the price (especially for the 20x60) is not particularly high, I would much prefer to buy new.

Can anyone suggest a good supplier that could send these abroad?

I can not see the Stellar binoculars on the FLO website.

FLO have recently removed the Stellar range from their website. But they maybe able to still order them for you.

Failing that, Harrison Telescopes also sell the Stellar range:

I was told some time ago that Harrison Telescopes only deliver in the UK.

Ah right, forget Harrison. Drop FLO an email and see if they will still source the Stellar for you.
