NGC 700 Help Please

Hi

(subject is supposed to say NGC 7000)

The attached image is an hours worth of 5 min subs taken with the kit in my sig, i did add darks but no flats and very quick levels and curves. Two issues

1 - Think im a little off target, are there any stars I can use as guide ?

2 - There is a tiny bit of red nebulosity comming through but not much, how much data will I need and is 5 mins exposures enough, I can achieve 10 mins if that will be better ?

here is a quick guide as to what bit of 7000 you have, rotated to North up.

It's a very big object and with your equipment you'll only be able to capture it in parts and stick it together as a mosaic. I've got similar spec'd equipment.
