A good night....

Had my first session for over 2 months last night with some great first spots.

Started with M31 (only seen previously in binos), then on to M56 which I am still surprised at finding as it was dimmer than I expected! Had a look at M57 as I was in the area and it never fails to impress me.

As I waited for Jupiter to make an appearance from behind the tree I managed to locate Neptune with a little help from Starwalk. I must say I wasn't expecting the blue to be quite so striking!

Finished with Jupiter through cloud which quickly got thicker but still managed to see banding so am happy with a first view through the scope, no time for avi's as I had intended though !
