NGC281 - Hubble palette

Recommended Posts

Well I have decided to close this as a project as I do not feel I am going to add anything to it over what I have already.

So ... NGC281 in narrowband (Hubble palette)

Mapped SII® - Ha(G) - OIII(;)

T: 190mm Maksutov Newtonian

C: QHY IMG 2Pro running at ~-35C

F: Astronomik Ha, OIII & SII

M: NEQ6Pro

G: Off axis guided.

Ha: 15 x 300 secs

16 x 600 secs

OIII: 30 x 600 secs

SII: 28 x 600 secs

I have rotated this from the "normal" viewing angle as I feel it is far more dramatic looking at it this way.

The colours are certainly beautiful, I would sharpen the orange edges at the bottom to bring them into the foreground more and possibly sharpen the dust lane edges but then again I always seem to oversharpen my own images. Stars are vgood as not too pink, nicely done.
