Orion nebula

Hi i am in kent uk and was wondering when the orion nebula will be in my sky again

We always have a first look at Orion when we are at Kelling Heath (late September this year), it rises in the East usually towards the end of the sessions so 4:00 am or so. The winter months are the best though, viewable at much more sociable hours.

This is probably best from late November onwards, it is due south at midnight in mid-Dec according to my planisphere.

Get hold of a copy of Stellarium and use the tools at the bottom there are some controls which will allow you to fast forward. Search for Orion and fast forward, as long as you have set your lat and long it will give you a good idea of when Orion will come into view. Plus you can use it for any object.
