First Look Through APO

Recommended Posts

Spent some time on Sunday afternoon getting the scope on to the mount. The scope , small guide scope , diagonal ,eyepiece etc were all balanced by the 2 Sky Watcher weights.

Moon - No false colour at all on the limb. My wife said it looked though it was floating in the sky. Focus just seemed to "snap" into place.( Feather Touch 2 speed unit was a joy to use)

Saturn - Poor hazy seeing - Belt on planet visible , several moons.

Used Toucam On Moon (see lunar image section)

Just to show you can balance a 130 apo on an HEQ5 mount using the 2 supplied weights see below.( note clamp is in the released position)

Lovely looking setup John - great performance potential as well by the sound of it. A 5 inch APO is definately on my wish list. That focus "snap" is the sign of a quality scope.
