Hi Dave, :hello2:and welcome from another bristolian! I know the chap who wrote you the above message....and believe me, he does know some good dark sites. Bristol astro society meets every 2 weeks in the summer at bristol grammer school, clifton 7.15pm.

Thanks for that! I've had a quick look at the website and I'll definitely give that a go sometime. The weather doesn't look too promising for tomorrow though. Does it get busy there?

Sorry I missed your question Dave.

Last one I went too around 40 folk turned up. The BAS had setup 5 scopes of different types to show people some of the showpieces in the sky. Quite a lot of folk bought their own binoculars so a session on what can been seen with them was included as well.
