Usual set-up Evostar 120 @ f/10 and 1000D/SPC900. Lots of cloud around so it was difficult to get .avi's so much so I was limited to 1minute.

What technique d'you use to achieve focus?

I'm currently considering making a small reflector to try and improve my solar images, and I think the trickiest bit will be to get good focus, compared to my AF shots through my DSLR/telephoto.

The Evostar 120 has a rack and pinion focusser - I just keep twiddling and watching the laptop screen till I get it right! (The 1000D is operated via the laptop). One day I will get a nice 10:1 two speed focuser and then fit my (already made and waiting) electric focusing motor. Then I won't have to reach over the laptop/other gubbins to focus - you should see my contortions sometimes!
