Will "our" asteroid be visible ?

2010 TK7 that is.

I've just read about it, and was wondering if it would be visible at all during the year ?

At magnitude 20.6 it's well beyond the limits of visibility in amateur telescopes but would be within range of CCD imagers with sufficiently large aperture.

Too dim for my kit, for sure! But to be honest I would hardly expect to pick up a 300-metre fragment of rock a third of the distance of the Sun.

Its orbit seems really weird, spiralling this way and that all over the place. Even if it were a lot brighter, finding it would be a real effort!

One for the big obsys, I reckon...
