Flocking - mirror in or out

I'm about to apply edmund optics flocking to my dob. I only plan on doing the areas visible through the focuser tube as i've read that that is all that's needed - so that's mainly opposite the focuser tube, inside the focuser tube and maybe around the mirror cell.

Question is, should I take the mirror out :BangHead: before I apply the strips of sticky paper to the tube around it?

in my view NEVER (NEVER!!!!!) apply flocking with your mirrors anywhere near the tube. it's a nightmare waiting to happen. takes about 5 minutes to take them out and put them back and another 5 to collimate. not worth the risk.
