How does this sound?

I'm keen on having a forage into imaging, and i noticed the brightstar l429 at Guider Cameras @ Modern Astronomy (bottom of the page)

despite being listed primarily as a guider, this sounds very respectable to me. 16bit images, set point cooling to 20' below ambient, 1/2" chip format (the same chip that's in the meade DSI pro II).

This sounds like a pretty good deal, am i missing something?

I plan to image with this on my 200p, possibly with a focal reducer, does that sound like a sensible introduction to CCD imaging?

An alternative would be the Atik Titan which also has the capability to do fast frame solar system imaging like a webcam so it can do a bit of everything. I helped a mate with one at SGL6 and I was quite impressed with it as a DSO imaging cam.

Tony..
