First Light PST/Vixen 80 Hybrid with DMK41

Finally everything has come together....modded scope, new camera (DMK41) and...some sun and time to image it.

First attempt with this set up shown here, although processing needs a little work.

Vixen 80MF/PST hybrid, BF5 and coronado 2X Barlow....for now.

Regarding the BF5, I managed to achieve full frame OK with the Barlow, but it is no doubt restrictive under other circumstances, given the diameter of the solar image is around 9mm with the approx 900mm FL Vixen. BF10 or BF15 would be better, generally.

Ken, any hints/tips on processing welcome.

Great first light !

A quick Despeckle then a sharpen (I use Focus Magic but Smart Sharpen in PS will work equally as well) will pull out a bit more detail !!
