Out of interest, this looks like a Skywatcher 706 Mercury scope (or something like that) - would this be usable as a guidescope if one could mount it on the main scope? Not interested in buying it myself, but always wondered if this was doable for someone on a tight budget.

That's actually a good point. I'd imagine it could. There is also the Meade one. I came across it earlier ill see if I can find it. I've hered a few people using then
