Welcome to the forum !.

A 10" scope will show lots of DSO's (as will a 4" refractor to be fair) but you will see them brighter and in a bit more detail.

My 10" newtonian gives a nice view of M51 although to see the spiral structure clearly I need to get to a dark site.

I would not buy from E.Bay though when there are a number of decent retailers around including First Light Optics (see top of page).

There are lots of options in that price range so don't hurry your decision.

The one in the E.Bay ad is used. The used price of astro equipment is usually around 60%-70% of the new price so thats worth bearing in mind.
