M27 and NGC7635

Glider

Recommended Posts

I recently bought an Atik 16IC second hand.

Here is M27 in 2 hours Ha and 2 hours OIII, all 5 minute subs.

NGC7635 is 2 hours of 5 minute subs in Ha.

ED80 on HEQ5, finderguider/SPC900/PHD guiding.

Stacked with DSS, processed in CS3 with Noel's Actions.

Nicely done. I'm firing away in HA (and OIII) at the Bubble tonight, too. It really is a nice target, isn't it? It also seems to be one of the best-kept secrets in astrophotography, because whenever I've idly browsed in the past, it doesn't seem to be something anyone makes a fuss about.

Is your 16IC a colour chip? Is that why the image is that deep red?

(EDIT: Sorry silly question - I see from your profile it is a mono sensor)
