SGL7 - Dates confirmed.

SGL6 was an overwhelming success. Everyone had a great time and we even managed to arrange for the some clear skies.

Although all attempts to get another volcanic eruption in Iceland failed :).

I'd like to thank Helen, Mike, Mark and Jean for all the hard work put in to make the event a success. :)

We have talked about the potential dates for SGL7, looked at twilight times and New Moon dates and have finally booked the dates with Lucksall.

The dates for SGL7 are March 22nd - 26th 2012. I have also informed Lucksal that we may require a day or two either side - but that can be confirmed closer the time.

Booking for the event, as per last year, will be through SGL NOT the camp site direct. The booking page will be created and tested nearer the event. Pricing for SGL7 we hope will be the same or close to SGL6, but we haven't had that discussion with the campsite yet!

For those not familiar with the event, the camp site can be found >HERE<

Comments and images from SGL6 can be found >HERE<

Regards

Ant

For those that are interested there is an article about SGL6 in the July copy of Astronomy Now. This will give you an idea of what a great event it was.

Also Diaried.

How much was SGL 6 though?

The cost was £12.50 a night per pitch, with a £2.50 supplement for an electric pitch.
