Lunar eclipse from down under.

What a beautiful morning, clear as a bell but a chilly 9 dg (this is the tropics!!)

Eclpise was stunning, as the shadow covered the Moon the Milky Way just popped out above it, quite magical.

We had totality from 0525 - 0610 ish when getting light, and the Moon set about 10 min later. Western Australia will get the total 1 hr 40 min of totality.

A wonderful start to the day.

Dave, hmmmm, Greece sounds pretty nice too.

Cliff - these were easy to take, I am not into the technical computer stuff. Canon 450D on tripod, with the trusty cable release. Took heap of images, but when I took that Milky Way one, I thought, that is a keeper. Got that bright little meteor too.

That image was at ISO 1600, 17mm, f 3.5 for a good 35 sec.
