Filters - OIII or UHC

hello all,

Filters are something I just haven't looked at yet (apart from the Astronomik clip one I have in the camera).

Having just watched Sky at Night, they were saying about the OIII filter for viewing - I had no idea they could assist with viewing.

So - after looking on FLO, there seem to be 2 types OIII & UHC.

Question is - could I use either with the ED80 & 200P, I am reading that the OIII is more suited to the 8" or bigger, but would it still be useable with the ED80 ??? Or would I be best of with a UHC ???

Thank you for any advice ...............

I use the Castell ones from 365 Astronomy. you can get a 2" Oiii or UHC for less than £50 delivered.

they are very good in use and whilst I am sure they are not the quality of Astronomik (but in honesty I could not see a difference when I compared them) they are excellent VFM and that way you might afford both which is the best way in my view.
