first night out...

hi all,

well, i got a telescope from my g/f for my birthday (skywatcher 130/900 on an EQ2 mount). i had a chance to try it out this weekend, and even though it was cloudy, i managed to point it at saturn. and then spent almost two hours playing with the eyepieces and mount, just looking at saturn. i think i even managed to see one of saturn's moons. amazingly beautiful.

yup, i'm hooked.

You will always remember the first veiw you have of Saturn

has to be one of the most amazing bodies in our system

i can spend hours looking at it

the moon you saw was probably Titan (its the biggest and easist to see)
