NGC 3132 - Southern Ring Nebula

This is a small but bright planetary nebula in the southern sky. This shot is from just 4 x 5 min color exposures. Anything much over 5 minutes tended to blow out the nebula.

I love the detail you've captured in the Outer shell(s) of this...

Being unfamiliar with NGC 3132, I looked it up and compared its size with our "Northern" M57 - According to Wikipedia, M57 is 230″ × 230″ (Mag 8.8) whereas NGC 3132 is a paltry 62″ × 43″ (Mag 9.87)....

And I thought M57 was tiny!!!
